Welcome
This is USAID Egypt's official support site for training-related software systems: TraiNet and VCS (Visa Compliance System). This web site provides Egypt specific information and guidance on the use of TraiNet Web and the VCS systems to enable missions and partners to 1) understand how to use the software, 2) report data on training events, and 2) obtain paperwork necessary for a J-1 visa and to maintain exchange visitor status.
For general TraiNet and VCS information not specific to Egypt, please visit trainet.usaid.org

Steps for Processing USAID-sponsored Participants to U.S. (effective January 31, 2008)
USAID/Egypt has streamlined the J-1 visa pre-departure documentation process, introducing major changes, including a requirement to upload key documents to the TraiNet system. Click here and read What are the steps that must be taken to obtain a J-1 visa? for information on the requirements.
Effective January 31, 2008 the revised forms must be used for all new activities in the U.S. (but not those currently in the R1-R3 process). The new requirements are applicable to all participant training activities funded by USAID through a contract, grant, cooperative agreement, or other type of agreement.
